Stall Location and Set up
Stall Inventory:
Problems and possible solutions
Showing about info on VARS TV can be confusing for new people because it constantly changes → people won’t be able to see the whole introduction → Each slide needs to be clear and not require context from previous slides ⇒ Have them read off of posters and pitch directly
Some people might not be able to show up to shifts → have emergency floaters (1-2 people) in case someone can’t show up in a short notice
Issue from industry night: Not being able to give full and clear explanations of the different projects and events we have on display:Having at least 1 person from Education or Projects and at least 1 person from Marketing or Operations for every shift
Clearer explanation cards/2 more explanation cards for operations and marketing
(Optional) have a visualisation/diagram that shows how the different portfolios link to the different focuses of our team (Educational events and outreach, projects, expos and industry events).
MNET Game suggestions
1/ Spinning wheel (Wheel is currently available)
Add a VR Mini-Demo Slot (e.g., 2-min guided experience as a prize).
New segment: “Spin Again!” for variety and excitement, keeps people motivated to try
2/ New Game: MindNet
In order to help people remember more about us, we can have them look at our pitch info (posters) and then have them pick cards of a topic (about us, projects, departnments, etc. ) → test their memory
Spinning wheel won’t be overloaded
3/ Fill in the blanks sheet
Fill in the blank sheet with info about MNET so people have to skim information on the posters to get prizes. Once filled in correctly people can get a prize
Possible structure:
Side notes
Check the weather !!
Focus is both on recruitment and raising awareness → need to emphasise both our internal work (projects) and externally how people can use what we do (education and industry nights and expos → get people to follow our social media accounts)
