We met with academics at Monash Peninsula from the Podiatry faculty to discuss the development of their new VR/AR-enabled Allied Health space, which has been in collaboration with VARS since 2019. Their focus is on VR 360° content and remote assistance for health applications.

Funding & Space Optimisation
They have $50K remaining to enhance their space.
Our role is to help them allocate it effectively, removing redundancies with VARS.
Interest in setting up an AR/VR space similar to the Woodside Mixed Reality Studio (G08 at Clayton).
VR/AR for Health Applications
VR Fleet Setup & Management:
They are purchasing multiple VR headsets and need support with installation and management.
Potential for MNET members to assist with deployment and maintenance.
Remote Assistance AR: Exploring AR-based guidance for health training and real-time assistance.
Induction & Risk Assessments:
They want a self-service model with proper AR/VR risk assessments in SARAH.
Need help from us in producing induction videos for student training (360 VR+ normal vids).
Motion Capture & Student Engagement
50 students per semester in the course.
They are developing a new motion capture unit and want students to access Monash’s existing motion capture labs in a rotating roster format.
